Upcoming events and Exhibitions at Beach:
Beach London are delighted to present the debut gallery solo exhibition of London-based graffiti artist Malarky. Having spent the first half of 2013 living and working in Stoke-On-Trent, Malarky has applied his colour-soaked aesthetic to the city’s most infamous export - ceramics - creating his own versions of iconic pieces: hand-glazed plates, pottery, and…spaniels.
Puppy Snatcher will be Malarky’s first exhibition of this new body of work. It will also present a new direction for the artist, whose work, until this point, has been predominently two-dimensional.
Malarky’s recent exhibitions include ‘WHO DARES’ at Airspace Gallery, Stoke, with GoldPeg, Deadbeat Summer, at the Lomography Store, London, and Pick Me Up graphic arts festival at Somerset House.
There will be an opening party on Wednesday, December 4th, from 6 - 9 PM.
...Another Kickstarter-smashing camera at Beach! This time we are presenting a collaboration between Beach and the Impossible Project, and their Impossible Instant Lab. The Impossible Instant Lab transforms any digital image into a real, unique analog instant photo via your iPhone or iPod touch. Simply select any photo from your iPhone, place it on the Instant Lab and within seconds it ejects your analog photo, ready to develop in front of your eyes.
We've invited 4 of our favourite artists - Ellie Andrews, Thomas Slater, Malarky, Pau Sampera
To Impossible print ten images of recent work, fun stuff and more to show you what the Impossible Instant Lab can do. Also a great opportunity to check out Malarky's exhibition 'PUPPY SNATCHER' if you can't make the Private View on Wednesday 4th December.
