We’ve gathered a small selection of cool wine and beer shops for you to get your booze from this Christmas. The shops featured in our list hopefully offer you something a little different from your average crate of Fosters. Wether its wine or a selection of craft beer, you sure to find something tasty from one of these guys:
Oranj – Founders and childhood friends, Jasper and Edwin, planned to launch Oranj as a bar dedicated to low intervention wines. Covid scuppered their plans, so they’ve reimagined the concept as a delivery service, allowing people to try some of the best natural wines from lesser known producers at home.
O’Briens Bottle Shop – O’Briens is an independent, online bottle shop dedicated to the best British craft beer, wine, cider and alc-free drinks.
St. John Wine – Not only a banging restaurant near Spitafields Market, St. John also make a mean bottle of wine. The St. John wines are the result of a close knit community of producers across France.
Mikkeller – Mikkeller is a Danish microbrewery founded in 2006, sought to introduce their home-brewed beer to the public – there can designs a wicked too!
Top Cuvée – A stella neighbourhood restaurant and wine shop delivering UK wide. They specialise in off beat wines, perfect for something different.
Caps And Taps – Caps and Taps is owned and run by Steph and Phill Palgrave-Elliott. They’ve loved good beer for years and when the London craft beer scene started to grow they jumped on it and opened up shop in early 2015.
Clapton Craft – A craft beer and growler retailer with stores in Clapton, Kentish Town, Walthamstow, Finsbury Park & Forest Hill. They sell a wide range of local, UK and imported beer in bottle, as well as in growlers and PETs which they fill from eight rotating taps!
