In 2018, the Beach Gallery will make the exciting transition to operating as Beach London Project Space.
‘Beach will be inviting their favourite people and brands to take over the space: through workshops, collaboration, events, talks, and screenings, the artists-in-residence will create a body of work to be exhibited at the end of their time in our space. Instead of a traditional exhibition opening party, we’ll be hosting closing parties: work produced by artists during their stay will be available to purchase on this night – and some workshop participants, cherry picked by the artist, will also get to see their work up on display and bask in the glory of their contribution’.
We’re delighted to present our first event of 2018 with the wonderful London-based illustrator Alice Bowsher: Alice’s takeover, ‘My Guinea Pig Obsession’ will see Alice and guests (including Wild Life Drawing – a life-drawing class that feature’s animals, instead of people as models) producing work about their special furry little friends.
For all of the takeovers in 2018, workshop tickets will be available at beachlondon.co.uk and artwork created in the project space will be available to buy online at the end of the show.
PV date to be announced. Refreshments on the night will be supplied by Camden Town Brewery.
